The Original Walk was established well before 1973 and this creation is believed to be the first in the world. The Walk aims to be accurate, authentic and genuine, exploring a world of folklore, legend and dreams.
The team promise a unique opportunity to discover the hidden magic of the Ancient City through the real art of storytelling. Tales are drawn from the immense History of York and are told against a backdrop of haunting beauty, and you will walk in the very footsteps of those who have passed before.
All guides are City, County (Blue Badge) or Equity Qualified - one of the Guides even has a degree in Yorkshire history!
The Walk is a favourite with clubs, societies and birthday surprises. For conferences the Walk team enjoy an excellent working relationship with other attractions, tour operators and The Grand Hotel and are happy to assist with itineraries to ensure delegates experience as much of the City as possible.
